Christmas and New Year's

Thought I would share a few pictures from our Christmas.
I absolutely love this picture of Lydia, to me this is what Christmas is. Look how darn cute she looks all dressed up, she was dancing all over the place the minute she put her tutu on

This is her pea coat I bought for her

Success!! Usually every time Trev tries to hold Sawyer she starts crying. She loves watching him and always has the biggest grin on her face. On Christmas Eve he got to hold her without her crying. We're making progress!

My latest creations

For Christmas I went to town making vinyl for Gifts, I absolutely love the way everything turned out so I thought I would share. Now I just need to get my craft room cleaned up from doing everything in there!
This I made for Trever's Grandma Pehrson

This I made for my Sawyer bug to be able to put all of her bows on. Tiff had asked me to make something because the board she had been using was full, so it took my awhile to come up with something and this is what I decided on. I put velcro on the the ribbon and board so that she can have as much ribbon as she needs for her bows.
This I made for my friend Jinger, I thought the saying fit her pretty good :)
This I made for my Mom (and myself) I love this saying and thought it would look good on a tile
I love making my own decorations, it makes it so much more rewarding in the end!
Hope you enjoyed!

Santa came to visit

A little Elf told us that Santa was going to visit my neice Lydia tonight. So we asked if it would be ok if we were there when he came. Lydia was very excited to have us their, but the little stinker refused to take a picture with me. She was excited to see Santa, until he came of course. She didn't cry she just didn't want to get too close to him. Here are a few pictures of the night. Enjoy :)

Traditions

What Traditions do you have in your family? It doesn't even have to be for the Holidays. To me keeping traditions within your family are so important. During the holidays I try to get my family involved in getting together and having fun!
One of my favorite traditions growing up was every Christmas eve after we would leave my grandparents house we would go to a neighborhood that they had set up "The night before Christmas" story in their yards, then on the way home we would watch for Santa and his Reindeer in the sky. By that point by brother's knew the truth about Santa but they made sure that I still believed. Then I would always sleep in my brother's room that night, on the floor in between the beds and I loved every minute of it. Sure we fought all the time especially when we were younger, but we loved each other. I believe that the things we did together while we were younger has made our bond stronger now that we are older and starting our own families. My brother's are my best friends, I turn to them for everything. My favorite thing is when they call or text me just to say "Hi" cause we hadent seen them for awhile. My family is the reason I am who I am, I wouldn't be "Me" without "Them"
So back to the point, Traditions. Two traditions I have tried to keep alive since Trev and I have been together is:
1) Going to the lights at Temple Square
This year we went with Trev's Mom, Stepdad, Sister, and her friend.
I am thankful that we can get together as a family and enjoy each other's company. Like I said before, We are nothing without our family.
So here are a few pictures I took at Temple Square

The second tradition I have started is gingerbread houses. Trev and I have made one every year since we have been together, but last year I decided to get my brother's involved. So here is our gingerbread village

Merry Christmas Everyone!

What I am Grateful for...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope everyone had a good day spending it with their family. I know I had a wonderful time with mine and Trev's family. There's nothing I love more then to spend time with our family. Here are a few things I am grateful for..
1. A house I call home, I am so grateful I have somewhere to go home to every day that is warm and a happy place to be.
2. My job, I may not like having to work all the time but I am so thankful that Me and Trev both have jobs that allow us pay our bills and put Trever through school to make a better life for ourselves.
3. My family, this includes my little family (Trev,Mischa, and Addie) and both mine and Trev's families. We have amazing parents who will do anything to help us succeed and amazing brother's and sister's who are always their for us, through thick and think, through laughing and crying. I love them so much.
4. My health, me and trev both have been blessed this year with no serious health issues (knock on wood) But just the fact that we have health insurance I am grateful for.
5. My husband! He is my rock, my other half. He knows me and he loves me. I am grateful that we were able to be sealed in the temple and that I will go through this life and the next with him by my side.

Happy Holidays, Try to keep the Holiday spirit alive in your home over the next few Holidays and remember to spend time with your loved ones, and let them know you love them. Start new traditions and continue old ones. ENJOY the holidays.. don't stress about the perfect gifts for others, just relax and have fun!
